The Assistant Gardener Course is a comprehensive 300-hour training programme designed to develop practical knowledge and hands-on skills in horticulture, gardening, and landscape maintenance through classroom learning, practical training, skill-development workshops, and On-the-Job Training (OJT). The course covers garden establishment and plant propagation, garden maintenance, harvesting and post-harvest handling, workplace safety and hygiene, nursery management, sustainable gardening, tools and equipment, as well as practical skills such as pottery, fence making, basic carpentry, plumbing, drainage, and hardscape installation, preparing participants for professional employment, entrepreneurship, or personal gardening.

Introduction to the agriculture industry, horticulture sector, and the roles and responsibilities of an Assistant Gardener.
